The TTB is not a prototype but, as its name suggests, an American test bed for the latest tank development technologies. It was an initial base of the Block III Abrams project, designed to replace the existing Abrams tanks with something capable of defeating any future Soviet tank that was predicted to appear in the 1990s. In its modified Abrams hull, the entire crew of three sat in front (where only the driver would normally be), quite safely hidden behind the thickest armor. Fuel tanks were removed to make place for the extended crew compartment. The crew would use advanced cameras to aim the tank’s weapon systems that were installed in an unmanned turret, located where the standard Abrams turret would normally be. This unmanned turret would be armed with the standard Abrams weapon (although quite modern at that time), the M256 L/44 smoothbore cannon. The gun would be fed automatically from a 44-round carousel magazine under it.
The development of the Block III Abrams ceased after the breakup of the Soviet Union and the entire Block III Abrams program was cancelled. One thing to note about the TTB in Armored Warfare is that it’s not going to be strictly realistic – more like our take on how a Block III Abrams would have looked like if it was produced in the 1980s and upgraded today to match the needs of modern battlefields the same way the Americans are upgrading the existing M1A2 series.
Vehicle Traits[]
Armored: This vehicle's armor can withstand a lot of punishment, allowing it to survive even serious firefights.
Heavy Weapon: This vehicle carries one of the largest weapons around with significantly increased damage per shot.
Unmanned Turret: This vehicle features a remotely-controlled or low-profile turret that receives reduced damage.
Advanced Hydraulic Suspension: This vehicle's advanced hydraulic suspension allows you to tilt its hull to the front, to the rear and to each side for improved gun elevation and depression angles.
Gas Turbine: This vehicle is powered by a gas turbine, providing smoother acceleration compared to an ordinary diesel.
This MBT's front is protected by composite armor. Composite armor consists of combined layers of steel and other material and offers excellent protection against HEAT shells and ATGMs. Its steel sides and rear are considerably more vulnerable.

Description: Temporarily improves your vehicle's acceleration, maximum speed and hull traverse values at the cost of increased camouflage penalty for movement. In other words, activating this ability makes your vehicle easier to spot when moving.
