The Stingray 2 Light Tank was developed by Cadillac Gage as an upgraded variant of the original Stingray. The philosophy behind both Stingrays was to install powerful, MBT-class 105 mm rifled cannon on a light, mobile and – most importantly – affordable chassis. Stingray 2 featured a new turret with improved frontal protection as well as an upgraded Fire Control System by General Dynamics, derived from the one used on the later Abrams tanks. A single prototype was built in 1996 but, despite its qualities, the vehicle was never a commercial success because the market became flooded with Cold War surplus. Marketing continued until roughly 2003 when the tank was finally retired.

  • Stealthy: This vehicle does not lose any camouflage when moving at any speed, which is handy primarily for scouting.
  • HESH Rounds: This vehicle can fire special Squash Head rounds. These are extremely effective against angled armor that is typical for Soviet tanks.
  • Ready Rack: This vehicle features a Ready Rack, which consists of several easily accessible rounds. It can fire several rounds in rapid succession, after which the reload time increases. Ready Rack reloads automatically when not in combat.
