Object 155 is a tier 3 MBT originating from the Soviet Union. It was a beta testers’ reward tank for participating in one battle during Closed Beta, and later for participating in Stress Test.

Player recommendations[]

This is a very good tier 3 MBT. If it is top tier in a game, it is best played rushing to the heavy zone of the map and battling it out with its relatively high DPM. If its opponents are at tier 4-5, it is best played hanging back and supporting the top tier heavies or flanking, taking out lower tier targets for the team. Even though its armour is good enough to withstand a few shells, the relatively low health pool means it enemy fire should be avoided if possible.

The prototype for the T-55, the Object 155 includes a full suite of proposed upgrades to ammo storage, fire rate, and mobility. Although modestly armored, it became the first true MBT of the Soviet Union, its primary flaw being that it lacked an anti-aircraft gun.

History[]

The Object 155 was a Russian main battle tank that was built in the same vein as its predecessor, the T-54, and it included many features present on both the T-54A and T-54B. Created in 1957, production progressed on this prototype vehicle for a relatively short period before its successor, the T-55, was developed.
