The MPF Light Tank is a Tier 10 special premium Light Tank under Sophie Wölfli's dealership.

This vehicle’s name stands for Mobile Protected Firepower, which is a U.S. Army program to replace the aging Stryker platform as the Strykers are to be decommissioned in the coming years. U.S. Airborne forces clearly need a highly mobile fire support platform, which effectively calls for a reincarnation of the old Light Tank concept that ended in active service with the M551 Sheridan.

Two companies answered the call – BAE Land Systems with its prototype based on the old M8 Thunderbolt II Light Tank, and General Dynamics with a Light Tank based on the Griffin demonstrator. The Armored Warfare MPF Light Tank version represents the latter. General Dynamics unveiled a single prototype in 2019 and the tank is currently undergoing trials. Despite some rumors, neither its hull nor its turret is based on the Abrams, although the prototype’s internal turret layout is similar to that of the M1A2 MBT, making it easier to train crews. The technology used in its design is fairly conventional with the primary armament being a 105mm low recoil gun.

The Armored Warfare version has been updated a bit compared to the real-life prototype and features NERA armor, Iron Fist APS and an experimental 120mm smoothbore cannon, which should in theory be able to fit in the turret.

This vehicle's steel body is relatively thin by itself, but it is covered by additional NERA modules. NERA modules offer excellent protection at the beginning of a match, but their protection levels decrease with damage taken.

Description:
This ability temporarily improves your vehicle's acceleration, turret and hull traverse rates, and damage dealt to modules as well as your reload speed and the time it takes to repair your own modules. It also grants extra protection against ramming damage. However, it also reduces your maximum speed, the effect of foliage on your camouflage and makes your vehicle easier to spot when firing your weapon.

Conditions:
This ability becomes inactive if the vehicle speed is 40 km/h or higher.
