Features[edit | edit source]
- Heavy armor : this vehicle's armor bounces more shots and takes more hits
- High caliber: the high caliber weaponry deals an increased damage
- Gas Turbine : provide a smoother acceleration, compared to an ordinary diesel
- Modern APFSDSs : are very effective against ERA
Player Recommendations[edit | edit source]
The last of the standard variants of the M1 Abrams platform available in Armored Warfare, the M1A2C Abrams continues the pattern of high mobility and excellent protection the series is known for. While the Abrams’ firepower may not be the best of its tier, its speed and armor allow the it to perform as an excellent flanker, strong hull down defender, and decent brawler.
Pros and Cons[edit | edit source]
Pros[edit | edit source]
- Excellent gun depression
- Well sloped and armored turret and upper hull
- Side ERA protection against HEAT
Cons[edit | edit source]
- Poor stock DPM
- Abysmal stock acceleration
Upgrade Suggestions[edit | edit source]
Upgrading to the AGT-1500 Tiger Gas Turbine Engine, Soft Kill APS, and TUSK v.3 ERA armor kit early will enhance the already good mobility and armor protection. Although important, firepower upgrades should be focused on later, due to their high cost and marginal improvement to gun capability.
Retrofit Suggestions[edit | edit source]
- Advanced Muzzle Reference System
- Augmented Optics
- Improved Gun Breech
- Improved Pioneer Tool Kit
Commander and Crew Skill Suggestions[edit | edit source]
- Commander: Juan Carlos, to improve the aim speed and crew stats
- Driver: Spin to Win, Off-Road Driving
- Gunner: Sharpshooter, Do the Twist
- Loader: Rapid Fire, Explosive Shells/Preparation

The Abrams Main Battle Tank is the current service MBT of the U.S. Army and several other countries. It was developed in the 1970s to replace the aging Patton series in American service. Unlike the failed MBT-70 project, the downfall of which was the widespread use of experimental technologies along with an extremely high price tag, the Abrams was designed to use modern but affordable and reliable components. What made it different from the Patton series was the use of Chobham composite armor and a gas turbine for propulsion, earning it the nickname "Whispering Death".
The M1A2C, formerly known as M1A2 SEP v3 (it was renamed to underline the importance of its upgrades), is the current cutting edge version of the Abrams, intended for American military service. This model was first introduced to the public for the first time in 2015 at the AUSA Expo in Washington D.C. and features a large number of improvements over its predecessor that focus on reaction time, all-weather fighting capability and engagement distance. It has a brand new set of next-gen armor, an advanced sensor suite and the ability to fire the advanced AMP multi-purpose round thanks to an upgraded FCS. The first prototypes were ready by 2017, were thoroughly tested by the military and the first production vehicles are, as of 2020, rolling off the assembly lines in Lima, Ohio.
