The V-150 (or LAV-150) was a version of the extremely popular Cadillac Gage Commando platform, intended for export. This four-wheeled vehicle was rugged, reliable, well armored for its weight and, most importantly, cheap, making it a popular choice for many poorer third world countries that needed something well-protected to fight poorly armed insurgencies. Even though the first Commando units were built as early as in 1964, the marketing of the platform only ended in 2000, making it one of the most successful and least known armored fighting vehicles. The LAV-150 90 was fire support variant of the family with a Cockerill gun occupying an enlarged turret.
