The FV107 Scimitar is a close relative of the FV101 Scorpion. The biggest difference lies in its firepower since the Scimitar carries a 30mm RARDEN autocannon instead of Scorpion's 76mm gun. Despite being just as obsolete as the Scorpion, the Scimitar remains active in British service simply because the military has nothing to replace it with. Recently, an upgrade program was launched to keep it operational until at least 2023.
