Contents
Features[edit | edit source]
- Heavy armor : this vehicle's armor bounces more shots and takes more hits
- High caliber : the high caliber weaponry deals an increased damage
Player Recommendations[edit | edit source]
When equipped with the PSO Appliqué Package, this vehicle is one of the best armored tier 8 tanks, with excellent side armor along the front half of the tank. This allows it to play as a front line MBT if careful consideration is given to exposing the side armor further back. With excellent depression and with a strong turret, the C1 is an excellent hull down sniper. It also has the mobility to push a front, and the armor to brawl.
Pros and Cons[edit | edit source]
Pros[edit | edit source]
- Excellent appliqué armor package covering the frontal sides of the vehicle
- Good accuracy
- Excellent frontal armor even without the armor package
- Good gun depression
Cons[edit | edit source]
- Without armor package, the side armor is terrible
- Poor mobility: worst stock acceleration among the T8 MBTs by far
- Low DPM, compared to the M1A2 and T-90A
- Shots that do penetrate front are very likely to damage or ignite the hull ammo rack
Upgrade Suggestions[edit | edit source]
Upgrading to the PSO Appliqué Package should be done as soon as possible, as its survivability bonuses cannot be overstated. The next suggested upgrade would be the MCTA V-12 Mk.II Supercharged Diesel Engine, to help alleviate problems with acceleration and hull traverse. Upgrades to the firepower are mostly useful for the penetration, as the damage increase is negligible.
Retrofit Suggestions[edit | edit source]
- Advanced Fire Control
- Improved Gun Breech
- Improved Pioneer Tool Kit
- Reinforced Ammo Rack
Commander and Crew Skill Suggestions[edit | edit source]
- Commander: Viktor Kirsanov, for increasing accuracy or fire rate, aim speed, repair rate, and damage to enemy crew.
- Driver: Off-Road Driving, Spin to Win
- Gunner: Quick Draw, Sharpshooter
- Loader: Rapid Fire, Explosive Shells

Developed to replace outdated imports, the Italian C1 is primarily focused on both mobility and incredibly sophisticated fire control, which leaves it lacking in direct tank-to-tank protection at close ranges. Its layered frontal armor has a relatively smaller silhouette and only a few direct weak points, but is it not intended to take heavy fire from modern penetrators, instead focusing on countering common, older exports still in use. |

Spaced steel composites over the frontal part of the side hull and turret sides significantly increase survivability, improving protection for the driver and crew from flanking vehicles firing HEAT or kinetic shells. |

History[edit | edit source]
Class: Main Battle Tank
Developed: 1984-1988
Service: 1992+
Vehicles Built: 200
Operators: Italy
Developed by OTO Melara and Fiat Iveco in the 1980s, the Ariete was one of three European "national" tanks of the era alongside the Leclerc and the Leopard 2 MBTs. Of the three, the Ariete is the lightest but, unlike the other two, it has never seen any combat. By now, the Ariete is already somewhat obsolete and its poor protection levels don't speak in its favor. The Italians are currently working on a replacement called Ariete Mk.2 but the original Ariete is expected to serve at least until 2025.
