The Bradley AAWS-H (Advanced Antitank Weapon System - Heavy) was one of the prototype tank destroyers, developed by Vought to carry the LOSAT hypersonic kinetic energy missiles. As its name suggests, this particular vehicle used a heavily modified Bradley chassis, from which a four-tube missile launcher would extend. The launcher would then be retraced after firing. The idea behind these missiles was that instead of a normal HEAT warhead, they'd simply fly very fast (at hypersonic speeds) and destroy their targets by using their kinetic energy. Their extremely high flight velocities made them incredibly deadly, literally ripping tanks apart upon impact. In addition to that, these missiles would be practically immune to ERA or hard-kill APS. On the downside, kinetic missiles do have minimum range of 300 to 500 meters, making them useless in close combat.

Despite a number of various missile prototypes built and tested, the idea never really caught on and sort of fizzled away with the collapse of the Soviet Union, since there was no real need for this type of vehicle anymore.
