This is a B1 Centauro variant, fitted with an enlarged turret and carrying a 76mm L/62 rapid fire cannon developed by OTO Melara. The main goal of this project was to offer an anti-aircraft Centauro variant with enough range to take out even serious threats but without resorting to missiles. This way, the DRACO could also work as a fire support vehicle by attacking ground targets, including hardened ones. However, as with the other Centauro variants, the DRACO failed to obtain any customers and the project was terminated.
