The Centauro 155, also sometimes called "Porcupine", is an indirect fire SPG variant of the Centauro family, armed with a 155mm L/39 OTO Melara low recoil howitzer. A prototype was shown to the public in 2012 with the intent to provide an European alternative to the Panzerhaubitze 2000 SPG. However, despite a lot of interest, it failed to obtain any customers and the project was terminated.
