Contents
Features[edit | edit source]
- Heavy Armor : this vehicle's armor bounces more shots and takes more hits.
- High Caliber : the high caliber weaponry deals an increased damage.
Player Recommendations[edit | edit source]
This tank is essentially a poor man's challenger, with a weaker lower plate and worse DPM than that of its predecessor. Although this tank is quicker than the tier 7 challenger it is essentially a challenger 1 with worse armor packages that are compensated by a slightly better acceleration, ERA system, HEAT-MP rounds and higher penetration for the tier than the challenger 1.
Pros and Cons[edit | edit source]
Pros:[edit | edit source]
- Strong Armour
- Good 120mm gun with high penetration
- High amount of hitpoints for a tier 8
- APS on a Challenger 1
- HEAT-MP round is very effective against thin armor.
Cons[edit | edit source]
- Rather slow and cumbersome
- Longer reload.
- Slow to turn, so tanks can easily flank its side.
- Essentially an up tiered challenger 1 missing the ERA Mk.III armor package on the lower front plate.

This is an upgraded Challenger 1, intended for the Jordanian Armed Forces under the designation Al-Hussein. It offers a number of improvements compared to the original Challenger, including the replacement of the main gun with a Swiss 120mm RUAG CTG smoothbore. A prototype unveiled in Jordan as early as in 2004 but never got any traction and the project was ultimately canceled in 2016 when the Jordanians decided to phase out their Challenger 1 MBTs and replace them with Centauro Tank Destroyers.
