In the 1990s, it was decided to upgrade it with improved electronics, additional protection (including a rudimentary IR jammer with GALIX smoke grenade launchers), an early Battlefield Management System and other various configurations. The upgrade program was completed in 2010 and the AMX-10RCR (the last R stands for Rénové) is expected to serve until the late 2020s, at which point it will be replaced by the EBRC Jaguar AFV. ==Vehicle Traits== *Marksman: This vehicle can fire advanced ammunition from its accurate weapon, allowing it to destroy enemy armor at long distances. *Ready Rack: This vehicle features a Ready Rack, which consists of several easily accessible rounds.
